Privacy Policy 

Data Protection Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018, clients have rights regarding their information being held by a service. The Information Commissioners Office has more information https://ico.org.uk information of which I am a registered member.                  

Person data given will be stored separately from notes made by the myself and will be anonymised with a code. All data will be stored in a secure, locked cabinet. 

Confidentiality

It is expected that the highest level of confidentiality is maintained due to the personal nature of the counselling. There will be no disclosure of information regarding yourself or your counselling unless  it is thought there is a potential risk of harm to either yourself or others as well as disclosures of acts of terrorism or money laundering. You may also wish for me to disclose information to others on your behalf. If it felt that disclosure is necessary this  will be done following your permission being given. However there may be times when it is necessary to breach confidentiality without your agreement and this will be done prior to doing so unless in some circumstances that it is not deemed possible.
